A modest bribe of 500 thousand and a car collection worth 30 million: how Colonel Ilez Kilimatov "provided cover" for illegal business in Ingushetia
Video shows the "modest" house and car collection of the head of the Nazran Police Department, police colonel Ilez Kilimatov, who was detained for receiving a "modest" bribe of 500,000 rubles.
Behind this story, in reality, lie big money and big people.
According to the investigation, Kilimatov received 500,000 rubles as a monthly "contribution" for general protection of a group of individuals engaged in illegal extraction of sand and gravel mixture (SGM) on the territory of the republic.
The police officer informed the criminals about inspection activities.
Investigators searched Kilimatov’s house, which he clearly built on his "salary," and discovered three foreign cars worth 30 million rubles, as well as jewelry, cash, and so on.
Sources say that the organizers of the illegal business, who have been detained in this case, gave testimony against the police officer. They also claim that their business had a "cool" beneficiary — the republic’s Deputy Prime Minister Magomed Yevloev and his brother Akhmed Yevloev, who has been put on the wanted list in a criminal case regarding fraud with land plots and illegal SGM extraction.
It is known that Deputy Prime Minister Yevloev does not work alone but in tandem with Gilani Kalimatov — the nephew of the head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov. In fact, this chain (Yevloev — Gilani Kalimatov) now handles everything in the republic: all appointments, sale of positions, land issues, and so on. Readers can probably guess who Gilani answers to. At the very least, the head of the republic directs all difficult issues specifically to his nephew.
